So I’ll admit it, I can be pretty negative about Seattle sometimes… the fabric stores… the endless moldy cement.. lack of snow… lack of family blah blah blah. But you know what is great about Seattle? Blossoms. Beautiful bountiful bursting blossoms that, to a midwest girl, seem to be ridiculously magical and spectacularly out of place in our busy world. Its just the best present from the earth when you wake up and suddenly see hundreds of little petals blooming outside your window.

Yes, this being our first spring in our apartment we realized that a pear tree outside means fruit in the fall, and blossoms in the spring! Of course! Why hadn’t I thought of that earlier? But I honestly enjoyed it more as a surprise. Sigh. I just keep falling deeper in love with this cottage.
